Additional Requirements

	Every semester ESAD has a high number of Erasmus incoming applicants, therefore we may not guarantee the acceptance of all nominations. The selection depends on the following criteria: quality of the portfolio (50%); reciprocal inter-exchange of students from ESAD with the same foreign school (30%); knowledge of Portuguese language (10%); personal motivation letter and curriculum (5%); period preference — annual or 1 semester stay (5%). Classes are taught in Portuguese with English support. ESAD suggests that all students who are accepted into the Erasmus programme attend an intensive Portuguese language and culture course before coming to Portugal.
